Michael & Co. Jewelers, owned by Mike Morton, has been the jewel of Siesta Key for decades, opening in 1988, & the most desired jeweler among tourists & locals alike. Originally known as Fawn Jewelers, Mike changed the name of the business in 2004 to reflect his own personality & designs. Mike has been in the jewelry industry for over 20 years. Mike began his craft in the fine jewelry industry as an apprentice & has progressed his career to a custom designer of fine jewelry. Mike is originally from Atlanta, GA. but has worked all over the country perfecting his skills as a designer.
Michael & Co. Jewelers is one of the few fine jewelers in Sarasota & the only one on Siesta Key that actually designs & manufactures fine jewelry on the premises. Where else can you go to actually see a piece of jewelry made by hand before your very eyes? Michael & Co. Jewelers….that’s where! (By appointment only). In addition to that, we also offer jewelry & watch repairs. All of our repairs are done on the premises, so before leaving your jewelry with an ordinary jewelry store be sure to visit us. This will allow us to return your jewelry to you a lot sooner that the store that sends it to an offsite jeweler, which also puts your jewelry at risk to being lost or stolen. (You may also watch your jewelry being repaired in our studio by appointment only).
In addition to designing & manufacturing the majority of their own jewelry, Michael & Co. Jewelers is also a direct diamond & gemstone importer. What does that mean to you? It means that you can purchase jewelry at true wholesale prices (like a typical jewelry store owner). Mike is in touch with today’s latest styles, so you will always find many unique, one-of-a kind pieces in our jewelry studio. Mike began custom designing nautical jewelry in gold, then with diamonds. He has since expanded his designs by adding diamond & precious color gemstone pieces to his extensive collections. Our latest collection is our “Siesta Key Jewelry Collection” which features the “Piece of Paradise” Siesta Key Sand Pendant®. This particular pendant took 14 months to produce a final design from start to finish & is copyrighted with the U.S. Federal Trademark Commission. It features white quartz sand from Siesta Key Beach, which is recognized as the finest beach in the country, which is “Paradise”, thus the name we dedicated to the treasured pendant.
Mike, with his tireless attention to detail at designing jewelry to perfection, also has since created other more affordable jewelry designs such as stainless steel & diamond jewelry, DiamonZ® man made created diamond jewelry in silver & gold, Caribbean Opal jewelry in silver & stainless steel with color rubber Build-A-Bracelets. We have designed these stylish Build-A Bracelets for many companies, high schools & other organizations, thus allowing them to raise money for themselves.
